Unfortunately not. GIL has no connection with the BBC or actual Gallifrey. Boo.
Information comes from the main and extended universe canon of Doctor Who, using everything from comics to Big Finish to Faction Paradox and anything that's been published which has a link to the Whoniverse at all. It uses its own evidence hierarchy system to filter down and find the most relevant information, with each source individually analysed for reliability. Once that's been established, the concepts are linked with real-life biology and anatomy to make an entirely feasible biological system.
Tell me! :D GIL adheres to a very comprehensive evidence and review process, so if you're submitting anything, please try and be as specific as possible as to where the information came from because 'I saw it in some book once' ain't gonna cut the mustard.
Of course! Please feel free to credit so people can check GIL out.
The language is a conlang. It was originally started in around 2008, so as a consequence has now developed into a fully-blown language. Since GIL's inception, it has become even more in-depth and continues to evolve.
I can certainly try; let me know.
Absolutely! Translations are currently entirely automated by the website, so they won't be 100% accurate. Any input from a real human would be lovely.
